With any lift maintenance plan, all lifts will eventually require modernisation. We have a number of modernisation and refurbishment services, please see below:
Once it is established you need a new lift, Hoistway will assign a project manager to assist you with the entire process. The project manager will schedule regular meetings to ensure you are happy with how things are proceeding as good communication is key to a smooth efficient installation.
Your project manager will stay with you from start to finish ensuring continuity throughout the whole process. We will assist in choosing the right lift for your building working with your Architect/specifier.
On Traction Lifts the motors, gearboxes, and ropes are liable to wear whilst on Hydraulic lifts rams, ropes, motors and hydraulic, hoses can become worn to the point of being dangerous and you would never know. As it is the part of the lift you never see inside the shaft.
If your lift is not regularly serviced you may want to contact us to arrange a risk assessment besides highlighting any changes you may need to make you may find it will help you with your insurance.
Refurbishment refers to the inside of your lift car and at the landings. The walls, ceilings, floors, lighting and accessories without total replacement of the whole lift car, you can make your lift look brand new at a fraction of the cost of full replacement.
There are many reasons for changing the inside of your existing lift as all internal decoration may just look old fashioned and no longer reflect the professional persona of the company.
Your lift may become old and worn scuffed panels, dirty threadbare carpets and your push button controllers in the lift or on the landings may no longer comply with DDA regulations.
