The obvious signs of wear on a lift are when your lift car becomes old or tired but that is only a small part of the problems you could experience. Good maintenance and timely replacement of worn parts will greatly prolong the working life of your lift, if you keep your current lift well maintained and incorporate new legislative requirements, you could avoid having to go to the expense of a whole refurbishment or even worse total replacement.

Running Gear
The lifting gear needs maintenance more than the car after all the moving parts that may wear are hidden from view basic maintenance (grease and oil) are essential for a smooth performance and motor and gear parts will wear with use.

New Regulations
with new regulations and LG testing requirements you lift may not meet the basic safety standards required to obtain insurance, or pass safety checks.

Hoistway's service teams who visit you to carry out the planned maintenance also operate a 24/7 service. Each team has a modern, fully equipped vehicle with all the tools and spares required to attend to the routine day to day servicing and breakdowns. Our engineers are trained and qualified on all types and manufacture of lifts from simple goods hoists to large, multi group, high-speed installation.

The type of contracts varies from basic standard oil and grease lift maintenance to 24 hour comprehensive lift maintenance contracts.

We will inform our customers over the entire spectrum of lift related topics that is from LG 1's to risk assessments on existing conditions, equipment, etc. We can arrange a maintenance contract that includes scheduled visits and inspections tailored to your usage as well as an emergency number for out of hours calls. Ultimately, as the customer, you decide how your service contract will run.
