ON Traction Lifts the motors, gearboxes, and ropes are liable to wear whilst on Hydraulic lifts rams, ropes, motors, and hydraulic hoses can become worn to the point of being dangerous and you would never know. As it is the part of the lift you never see, inside the shaft.
If you have a service agreement with Hoistway any wear will be flagged up as part of your service and recommendations will be made to make any changes needed in a a timely fashion.
If your lift is not regularly serviced you may want to contact us to arrange a risk assessment besides highlighting any changes you may need to make you may find it will help you with your insurance.

The range of products available for modernization are complex and varied, couple this with M2 and the D.D.A requirements and the customer has a daunting array of options to choose from. Recently a proposed legislative document known as BS EN 81-80:2003 has been produced, which sets out to give guidelines for the improvement in safety of existing lifts. Although a highly technical document, it does give an excellent breakdown of possible modifications, and matches them to a risk assessment. By using parts of this document we can produce an unbiased account of possible modifications and align them to benefits in safety, comfort or appearance. Our approach is to provide you with sufficient information in a format you can understand that will allow you, as the customer, to delineate your requirements.
