Our crews have their winter warmers on and are all set for jobs in Bristol, Bridgewater, Somerton, Northampton, Warwick and Clevedon, among others.

One of the most exciting new developments this year however is our fantastic new website! The entire website has been completely re-designed and re-furbished and after many long man-hours from our IT team, it’s finally finished!

As well as it’s flashy new look, we have also added a couple of new features, most notably the Domuslift Design Tool (with an icon on the homepage)- where you can design your own Domus Lift from floor to ceiling, so you can see your finished product before you even make an enquiry!

Even though we now have more information than ever on our website we still have friendly teams in our Martock and Bristol offices ready to answer any queries you may have about our products and services!

By Christine Sykes

Hoistway news

It was that time again this week, for our Hoistway Monthly Meeting. Every month we all meet up in the boardroom (with tea and biscuits of course) and update each other on what’s been happening over the past four weeks.

Developments from this month’s meeting include a possible new job in Bristol at the studios of a well known animation company!

Also this month we finished a four floor Domuslift installation at an inner city London school. It looks quite spectacular and both the school and the architects are reportedly very happy with the finished product! There will be pictures on the website next week so you can check it out for yourself!

We are also due to be installing our first ever 1.6 m/s (metre per second) lift at Plymouth University early next year! Now I’m no expert on lift speeds but most of the ones we have previously installed are only 0.15m/s!

Well that pretty much sums up the most exciting bits of this month’s meeting, keep a look out for those Domus photos and don’t forget to come back and visit my page for more updates!

By Hoistway

He used to install our Domus lifts but has now been recruited to help Chris and Ian with the growing number of jobs we are taking on.

He’s already taken charge of projects in London and Taunton, and is also managing some of the company’s labour, not to mention being another helping hand with technical advise and engineering.

‘In related news’ you may have seen our advert for a new Service Engineer. We’ve had plenty of responses but are still open to CVs, so send us yours if you think you may be what we’re looking for.

It’s great to see the company expanding and bringing on new employees all the time! We already have three offices; we’ll be wanting another one before long!!

By Hoistway

Hoistway News

There’s no rest for the wicked on a Friday at Hoistway!
The morning flow of emails brought a host of new jobs from Operations Director- Chris. Two lifts at Plymouth University, one at a fancy sounding Plymouth bar, an office extension in Taunton and a Nursing home in Wincanton! And that’s only from last week’s sales!

Meanwhile our other Director/Project Manager- Ian, is working heavily on two major projects, which I can’t say too much about yet, but they’re big, fast and cover 20+ floors!! Rumour has it that the two projects are worth in excess of £1,000,000! More details to come!

Other news from last week includes the arrival of new Service Assistant, Linda, who is already finding her feet in our busy office! We were even treated to a lunch out on Friday afternoon to welcome her to the company- courtesy of the bosses of course!

By Hoistway

We had a glorious two-week holiday over Christmas and New Year, but ever since we came back we just haven’t stopped!
The Service Department has been inundated with new contracts and enquiries- they’ve even had to take on a new Service Engineer who will be starting this month. New Installation is going full steam ahead with one of the previously mentioned ‘major projects’, which I can now talk about to my heart’s content (more news later), and many other exciting, new jobs!

Watch this space for more updates on all of our upcoming projects!

By Hoistway

We will be installing a large, 4 floor lift at their new offices in Bristol this summer!

Following on from our success in the nursing home sector we have also recently won a large Hospital lift installation in Gloucester- it's been a while since the last one at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
