Challenge
Cabot requested a custom built product line that could be adapted to suit varying designs of buildings.
The installation process from conception to handover had to be built around Cabot and their methodology.
Hoistway Ltd's input was to ensure a seamless joint between planning, reengineering and execution.
Flexibility, communication and time keeping were key factors in rationalising the process and ensuring the success of the project.

Solution
Hoistway Ltd chose a modular 630Kg, Machine Room Less lift with custom finishes tailored to individual sites.

Cost savings were affected in areas that would not hinder long-term reliability or service costs.

Customer safety and comfort were given primary focus resulting in the use of variable speed doors with infrared protection, fireman's recall and full 2 hour fire rated landing doors..

Results
The first site called for 7 lifts serving 6 floors, each to be delivered on a rolling program.
The lift phase were completed ahead of schedule and within the Cabot Homes budget with minimal day works incurred on site a relationship has developed between Hoistway and Cabot that has harmonised the process.

In recognition of the success of this partnership, Hoistway have received orders for a further two Cabot Homes multi-lift sites in Swindon and Bristol.

What Our Customer Say's
